For nine months, Émilie, Fabrice and their two children host Reza, a young Afghan who fled his war-torn homeland at the age of twelve, in their Parisian home. Despite the language barrier and the painful memories, the young man’s extraordinarily difficult odyssey becomes clear to them: how he risked his life to make it to Europe, losing all trace of his family, and travelled thousands of miles hanging onto the axle of a truck.
