The true story of Ruby Bridges, the first black girl to integrate into White school in the U.S.

In 1960s Louisiana, blacks and white did not mingle, not even in schools. Ruby had to walk a long way to reach hers, which was just for blacks. But segregation would soon come to an end, and when she was six, Ruby became the first African-American girl to integrate into an all-white school. Upon entering the classroom, Ruby finds herself all alone… The hostility of the students, staff, and teachers is just incredible. It's the beginning of a terrible year that will forever mark her life.
