After a night spent drinking his pain away, Commissioner Blandin, whose wife has just left him, is called to an apparent crime scene: a young woman's body has been found in a parking lot. The forensic pathologist concludes that she died of natural causes and the case is closed. But Blandin is convinced otherwise and decides to conduct an independent investigation, from the shady nightclubs of Bordeaux to the sordid striptease bars of Pigalle and rue Saint-Denis in the red-light districts of Paris. A quest for redemption in the world of prostitution.
