2010: an earthquake strikes Haiti, followed eight months later by a cholera epidemic of unprecedented severity. Cholera specialist Renaud Piarroux soon finds himself deep in the heart of a global political and scientific scandal when he discovers that UN forces brought the disease to Haiti.
