High schoolers Clara and Amélie have nothing in common, yet they've been close friends since middle school. But when plans are unveiled to set up a welcome center for young migrants in town, everything goes haywire. After all, Amélie, the mayor's daughter, is very hostile toward the idea, while Clara, who dreams of becoming a reporter, thinks it's terrific. As events unfold, the two teens will grow apart, each following their own path, then reunite, the richer for the lessons their experiences with the welcome center have taught them.
