This is the story of a scientist, a very very scholarly scientist, setting out to learn even more about the formidable Panthera Tigris. In order to do so, an expedition is a must. Our researcher hires a local guide but refuses to heed his warnings, preferring to trust only his own encyclopedic knowledge. But once in the presence of the ferocious beast, things naturally get complicated, and harsh realities will force our scientist to re-evaluate all his theories. Hélène Rajcak's illustrations, inspired by historical instructional engravings, strike a balance between theory and reality.
