Young Haya and her family are from Syria. Forced to flee war, they have made their way to France, and find themselves in a village in Brittany. When Haya starts attending a local middle school, she must confront hostility and racism from some of peers. Thankfully, her new friend Gabriel is a reliable source of support, helping Haya adjust to life in the country that is now her home.
