"For over forty years, I have been interested in spiritual journeys and diverse forms of wisdom from all over the world. Making a documentary collection for Arté enabled me to travel the world in search of the sacred. From Australia to Ethiopia, Peru to Japan – by way of France, Turkey, Guatemala, the U.S., Canada, India, and Nepal – I've encountered sublime landscapes and men, women, children whose humanity and spiritual ardor altered me forever. I took photos of them and wrote out my travels so I could share these unique moments. That's how this book was born."
