Chloe, an archivist and bibliographer, is passionate about ancient books. She recently discovered a very old manuscript in the family home. Jeffrey, her husband, is also keenly interested in the text… so interested even that she kills him without entirely meaning to. Where should she go? She decides to run away to Heldenskøn, a small island where her father once lived. There, she discovers an isolated monastery that echoes the story told in the strange manuscript.
