A story about art and appearances, full of rhymes and allusions.

Rabbit may be rich, but he doesn't know a thing about art! Luckily, his friend Pig, an expert, recommends Donkey's gallery, where the great Master Fox's works are on display. It's decided, then--Fox will paint Rabbit's portrait! But Rabbit is baffled by the result... for he can't make out a thing! He doesn't dare say so now, though, not when all his friends are already complimenting him on the beautiful work. Rabbit feels silly, and hearing others' praise, he comes round to their opinion. But he was right the first time: Master Fox has simply painted a square of color! Weasel finally reveals the truth to Rabbit. But Rabbit is clever, and gets the last laugh in the end!
