How can humans and wild species live together?

Many species once vanished from the land are now making their comeback. Such reappearances are sometimes natural, as with wolves and seals, or else deliberate and designed, as with vultures, bears, and sturgeon. Either way, they tend to cause general outcry. Not only do wild species frighten us, speaking to deep-rooted superstitions, they also call into question traditional practices, especially in agriculture and animal husbandry. And yet this difficult cohabitation, which depends on the restoration of wilderness spaces, is much needed and raises hope for a solution to various contemporary problems: the loss of biodiversity, climate change, and the economic crisis.
