Against the backdrop of 1930s Berlin, Dum Dum examines the repercussions of World War I on Central Europe, where national borders have been ceaselessly redrawn and peoples torn between multiple empires. A veteran of the Great War from rural Poland, haunted by inner demons, is confronted with the technological and urban frenzy of a city where the first hints of the horror to come are stirring: Nazism.
