In an authoritian regime where even food is regulated, resisting can take the form of something as simple as a tomato: the revelatory taste of freedom.

Everyone must obey the rules of a totalitarian state. Authorities have a monopoly on the sale of fruit, vegetables, and all other foods. Growing a garden is forbidden, and raising chickens an offense worthy of arrest. Away from prying eyes, Marius and his son Clovis grow a tomato plant in utter secrecy. And for once in his life, Clovis tastes fresh produce. That tomato tastes like... freedom.
