A somber, moving picture book about a child's hopes and the actions he takes in life.

The apartment building where Nouna lives is slowly emptying out, but there's still an old lady who lives on the sixth floor with her dog Bobby. Until one fine morning, she leaves too, abandoning Bobby on the sidewalk. The dog races after the departing car... and Nouna dashes after Bobby! A quest begins, one that will lead the pair through a city ravaged by war. Nouna will free a bird, protect a cat and her kittens, and finally, find Boby.
