The psychology of work is usually taken to mean the application in the workplace. However, such a definition fails to take into account the diversity of approaches and fields of research that the psychology of work comprises, much less the goal of a method developed in the unique context of the Industrial Revolution and the birth of psychology as a science. What exactly is work? What does it mean? How are we to analyze the psychologies of both people and organizations at once? Answering these questions will help us get a better handle on the search for meaning that work constitutes as an activity for all humans.
