A very topical story, and a moving portrait of a woman!

Edith is in her thirties and her love life is chaotic. When she returns to her family home for her parents' marriage, many childhood memories resurface. One night, she has a deeply upsetting nightmare of a terrifying man in a doorway. She becomes convinced that she has buried the memory of a rape. Over the course of the story, long-suppressed secrets are revealed and Edith's world collapses. But breaking the silence will then allow the young woman to rebuild herself.
