Through an analysis of the main theorists (Barrès, Drumont, Maurras) and movements (Action française, Croix-de-Feu, Front national, Rassemblement national) of the French nationalist right-wing, the author proposes a genealogy of their ideological positions on the question of homosexuality. Drawing on unpublished and varied sources (political and literary texts, periodicals, archives, and interviews), he examines the evolution and the ambiguity of nationalist discourse in response to social and legislative changes related to homosexualities.
