In the forest, a boy dozing near a tree meets a hare. Following its trail, he reaches the shore of a lake where a young woman invites him into her boat to cross the water and reach an island. There, he discovers a house filled with strange animist sculptures. On his way back, the keeper of the boat offers him a small pendant – a silver hare – as a sign of recognition, of belonging to a family or clan, like a talisman.
