This Native American legend tells of the Black Wolf (violence) and the White Wolf (kindness) that coexist within us, which Patrick Fischmann uses to reflect how humans treat the planet. One path is war: the hero’s village, and that of his grandson, has just been devastated… The other path is that of the White Wolf, symbolizing harmony with animals, the river, and all that sustains life. The young boy must choose his path… Aurélia Fronty brings these symbols to life with folk-art-inspired images.
