Trumpism, democratic backsliding, illiberalism, authoritarianism, populism, cyberlibertarianism, anti-modernism… The news regularly invites us to apply these concepts to discourses, institutional practices, political policies, or ideologies, whether in a neutral attempt to describe them or in a more critical effort to express concern or denounce them.
